Choose a career that interests you. Today is your opportunity to explore and investigate requirements for your possible future career. Your instructor will assign you to a module where you will log in and click on (red button) “Enrichment” session. Click on “Career” in the drop-down menu and follow along as you are instructed on how to complete the Career Investigation Enrichment Worksheet. You will need to use the Occupational Outlook Handbook located in your module library. In the Index, locate the career you have chosen to investigate. Complete the worksheet using the information found in the book. Prepare discuss with the training, qualifications, and advancement possibilities and how that relates to you as you plan your future.
Biotechnology: The application of the principles of engineering and technology to the life sciences
Communication: The technology employed in transmitting messages
Construction: Something fashioned or devised systematically.
Enrichment: The act of making fuller or more meaningful or rewarding. The session you log on to if you are finished with your session and you need more work
Feedback: The return of information about the result of a process or activity; an evaluative response
Input: Contribution of information or a comment or viewpoint
Manufacturing: To make or process (a raw material) into a finished product, especially by means of a large-scale industrial operation
Module: A unit of education or instruction
No: Used to express refusal, denial, disbelief, emphasis, or disagreement
Process: A series of actions, changes, or functions bringing about a result
Responsibility: A form of trustworthiness; the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct
Rotation: A span of seven sessions on a subject area in a technology synergistic lab. Refers to the length of time students spend in a single module
Session: One day of lessons in a module. There are seven session in each module
Synergy: Cooperative interaction among groups that create an enhanced combined effect. The name of the Technology
System: A group of interacting, interrelated, or interdependent elements forming a complex whole
Teamwork: Cooperative effort by the members of a group or team to achieve a common goal
Technology: Technology is people using knowledge, tools, and systems to make their lives easier and better. It is also a method where one applies a systematic technique, method, or approach; to solve a problem
Transportation: The act of transporting something from one location to another
